Hi all. Hoping to head up this weekend to have a look. Am looking for a 06/07 Passat comfortline...either 1.9 or 2.0. Can anyone recommend a garage that they had a good experience with? Also is the 2.0 engine way better than the 1.9?

    SERE Motors

Haven't bought from them but I know a couple of people that have and have found them good, I bought parts a few times and they were brilliant.

They have a few franchises and will more than likely have a few Passats. Website is good too as it gives the price in Euro and info on VRT also

EDIT - Forgot to mention they are Seat dealer of the year for this year too

Agnew cars - same prices as here.
Oliver Corey - no Passats and also the don't give prices online.
SERE motors - not great either.

Seem to be alot cheaper on usedcarsni but with higher mileage.

    www.nwkehoe.com/

In Newry. we bought a Bravo and brother-in-law bought a Grande punto from them. Both great cars.
Very easy to deal with Kehoes, great value and after-sales service.
Couldn't fault them and intend on using them again!

I used www.usedcarsni.com to track down some Beetles for my sister.

Agnews aren't willing to move much on price these days, due to the 'influx' of Southern buyers. I didn't get much off when I was haggling over a golf a few weeks ago. Sere seem even more overpriced to start with, I don't know if they're willing to knock more off in the end though. I've always had good dealings with the Edwin May VW dealerships in Coleraine and Portadown.

If you're looking to go to a few in the one day then Agnew & Sere on Boucher Road are probably your best bet.

Went up at weekend and went to Isaac Agnew in Belfast. He had one 06 Passat Sport with 40k on the clock. Asked me what my budget was and I told him €12k. He fiddled with the calculator, then turned it to me with €14,800 on the screen (best price)- including VRT. Thought it was an awful price...cheaper down here. Same craic..second hand prices have gone up blah blah..Didn't try anwhere else.
