Sending MMS from website to a phone

    I'm looking for a method of automating the sending an image from my website to a phone.

    I've come across this site which seems to provide a gateway to do it:

    I have two questions:

    1. What is the best method of sending an image to a phone at the moment.
    i.e. is it MMS or something newer?

    2. Has anyone used this service or can recommend on like it.

    -Any other advice relevant to my project is appreciated.
