    Beidh sutha torthai agus smudairi a réiteach ag Mairin.

    (Sorry can't get fada for i and u)

    I know torthai means fruit and I'm thinking sutha is a version of su for raspberry/strawberry? I can't work out sutha torthai though:(

    Also I looked in Foclóir Ui Dhonaill and can't find anything for smudairi.. would it be smoothie??

    toradh - fruit

    Thanks. It was in Foinse. I'm still not clear on what the sentence meant. Smudairi seems like an odd word, I can't find it in the dictionary. Caoineog is the word that focal.ie gives for smoothie.

    There will be berries fruits and smudairi being prepared by Mairin? :confused:

    I don't have the link to hand but on achmhainn.ie there is a brilliant glossary of food and drink terms! It's brilliant, I'm printing it off and making a little dictonary of it. There are terms on that site for loads of other themes and they're pretty comprehensive (to say the least! :)) Scary in a way, they've translated names of countries I've never even heard of even!
