adobe bloatware shoite

    Installed the latest ver of adobe acrobat reader pro

    was over a gig in size...!

    couldn't un-install the previous version. then removed the latest one [1 gig for a adobe reader, meh]

    wouldn't let me, ended up having to get an un install program, there are still loads of stupid files which i cant remove

    adobe, you can go fcuk yourself with that junk

    foxit reader from now on.

    Never had any issues with adobe before and I used an aweful lot of their programs. But yeah, 1Gb for a reader/editor is a bit much.. Whats to blame though? sloppy programming? Poor design? I never thought of adobe as a company that produces much bloatware..

    it's bloatware and has does lots of multimedia stuff too

    why ? it's just supposed to be a reader

    and LOTS of security patches

    Im running a registry fixer thing, how come it brings up 100000s of errors each time.

    cant be right, i fixed the errors, rebooted. re scan and bang. loads of more crap?

    i only did a fresh install a bit ago [xp sp3]

    also whats this crap in adobe i cant remove

    inside a CMap folder, says all the files are used blah blah...?!

    Registry errors can just be unused entries. Thats what I find whenever I scan mine. As for the other stuff.. :confused:

    Is it a legit version you are using?

    Well if it was a trial that means it was the full adobe acrobat pro version which is a lot more than the reader. Think the reader is <100MB.
    1GB for an application isn't massive anymore, very few are less than that.

    Foxit reader is 2.55MB and does the same thing.
