Just a quick one for anyone that can help,

What is the best Snes Emulator for the DS? I cant seem to get SuperMarioKart to work at all with any of them I have tried, all other games work fine, just cant get my favourite MarioKart game working.

Also - checked with Retr0gamer before posting that this is permitted (thanks btw)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
    Alan

Could be a problem with mode 7 emulation, did F-zero work?

Either that or it's a bad rom format or a file type not supported by the emulator.

Have not tried F-Zero...must see if that works..re the mode 7 emulation.

The nintendo logo comes up with the little cha-ching sound and then nothing...

Will try a couple of rom types to see if they work better.

I never really tried it extremely thouroughly, but i used to use SNEmulDS. Despite being well over a year since i used it it still seems that the one i used ,0.5, is the most recent version.

Mario kart doesn't appear to work on it though

It may have something to do with the SNES using some weird graphical trickery to get the split screen multiplayer. Even single player uses whis trick. It might not be emulated properly.

Gonna check it out when I go home, you could be right though...SuperMarioWorld does not run 100% correctly...bit glitchy...well I supppose I cant expect it to run everything 100% :)

Super Mario World is a really simple game to run on an emulator. If it's having trouble with it I'd advise you find a better emulator.

It took a long time for PC based emulators to get DSP1/Mode 7 emulation working well enough to play Mario Kart. Even now, a lot of them have simply implemented enough DSP1 code to get Mario Kart working and nothing else.
