Not all items received from my order - can't make a PayPal claim?

    I recently ordered a number of items from a seller (not on eBay) there were 20 items in total which I ordered - I only received 15 however, so I paid for 5 items which I did not receive.

    To make a long story short after the seller ignoring all of my e-mails I filed a dispute with PayPal.

    After entering all of the details of the transaction, dates of correspondance which went ignored, details of items missing etc... I got a message saying something to the effect that "PayPal can not deal with these types of disputes, try and resolve it with the seller yourself by communicating"

    That was last week - I presume that the seller has since seen my message on PayPal - still no response.

    Just to clarify - I filed the dispute within the time limits imposed and I filed it under "Items received but not as described" and then went on to detail that items were missing and one not as described.

    Is there anything else I can do to get PayPal to chase the seller?

    I'm out over $100 as a result of this now..

    Call your bank about a credit card chargeback. That's the only other option left.

    Just to warn you, I had a problme with Paypal some months ago.
    I ordered some goods from HK and paid by Paypal as that was the only way of payment he would take.
    Goods arrived, not as described and went back to Paypal after seller ignored my emails, who said as I hadn't bought the goods via Ebay, they wouldn't be able to hep and continue to try and make contact with the seller.
    Got onto the CC company and they were very unhelpful about chasing Payapl for the money, the girl eventually said "it's a nightmare" dealing with Paypal, trying to get any money back".
    6 months later still waiting for the credit on my cc to appear.
