Fist off [on the board] my tongues not up stes arse, and i just admire good darts, you must be another one of them that cant see past there own arses, and at least he come up with some good ideas witch is what i posted for in the first place, now i would never knock anyone whos plays the game, but if someone is playing well i will say it, this league was a shambles this year any one that cant see that good luck to them, now its up to the teams in the league to sugest changes and get up of there ass and go to the [agm] like wayne said i thing dave tansey is the to talk to.

    Easy tiger easy

anybody know why the farmhouse blue robbins match is been replayed after the game finished and the result was not affected by what went on the robbins player lost because he wasnt good enough not because of what happened

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭paulcorr

plus the farmhouse are been punished by having to play rematch in mckennas on mon league on tues and semi final thurs if they win plus a number of there players are playing sunday in premier league finals a pro wouldnt play that much in a week sun mon tues thurs

where are you going with 5-0? the turning point was the 120 finish, but when m. kane was 1-1 he through first and started with 4 tons, he was well ahead of a lynch, where are you getting 5-0? 4-1 ok but not 5-0.!!! as is said score for show doubles for dough.as an outsider the lough got what they deserved tonight on their years performance.
but your not an outsider are you ????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭paulcorr

and with a bit of luck we might get the tues cup final everyone wants to farmhouse blue v farmhouse red thats if pat smyth and the rest of his buddies dont fix the draw ha ha doing everything they can to stop farmhouse winning either league or cup

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 667 ✭✭✭S.T.D Ste

Yeah i think you's are been punished like hell fair enough what went on that night was a sham i think the match should be replayed but only the last game possibly the the last two if robbins win smith made a holy show of him self and the club martin is a very good player to say the result would of stayed the same is bad because having a player shouting and basically standing on you while you throw would put anyone off the league prob taught a replay because its the second season in a row a complaint has gone in against that team first young smith in last years final and now daddy smith for his mess against robbins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 667 ✭✭✭S.T.D Ste

Never a truer word said paul you have a four person com two non player a wed player and a tuesday player you need seven i think with two players from each league and one non playing

actually theres 5 on the committee at the moment.i was on the committee a couple of years ago and i know how hard it is to get people onto it.every year people would be giving out about things, saying this that and the other should be done but when you approach the very same people to come on the committee not a chance, then they'd start moaning again the next year.thats the reason theres only 5,cos people wont go on it.lets see what happens at this years agm when they're looking for new committee members,it'll be interesting to see who goes forward.
now i'm not gonna be a big defender of the committee, cos god knows they got a few things wrong this year but it pisses me off when people give out about things but wouldn't be prepared to go on the committee to try and change them.

playing the mon, tues and thurs is probaly a bit much alrite, either the tues game or thurs semi should have been put back a week.but the sunday premier league is an inhouse competition(i think) which has nothing to do with the borough league,so that wont even enter their thinking.

Dfd im not giving out about the committee in general, cos i know how hard the job can be,the only one thing i felt could have been amended was the fixture list, thay had two weeks notice, surely they could have done the draw again, some teams having a 4 week break come on,

i totally agree with you on that.its the main thing thats messed up this season.i even had words with the person responsible for the fixtures about a week before the league began to see if they'd redo them.the answer i got was no,because teams already had their bus's booked for the season and couldn't change them!!!!!!!i dont know about other teams but we do our bus on a weekly basis as i'm sure other teams probaly do.told him it'd cause problems through the season but he wouldn't listen.this mess could have been avoided for the sake of 10 mins, cos thats all it takes to do a fixture list.

it pisses me off to when people give out and do nothing about it but when you have something to give out about say it or nothing will ever be done its the people who say nothing piss me off more the same people on the comm year in year out will never change anything you should only have a two year stint then hand it over to someone else

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭paulcorr

what time does the darts start on sun ste going to come up and see the pros

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭paulcorr

why not have a league with ten teams on a mon play each other three times twice at home once away one season change it the next thats 27 matches per team top four go through to a mini league play each other once wit the team winning the most legs over those three extra matches winning the league for example win 5-3. team that loses has three points still has it all to play for. makes every match interesting or you could run the whole league on legs won. means 5-0 you still have three games that mean something

that would never work, for the simple reason being that talk is cheap when action is called for nobody will come forward to go on the comittee, thats why its the same people on there year in year out.they know if they leave nobody will replace them.i've been at agm's over the years when they've asked for new members and everyone just sits there waiting for someone else to go forward, you can nearly read peoples minds everyone thinking let someone else do it.i know its a thankless job damned if you do damned if you dont.theres 1 person on that committee who does endless work for the league and gets no thanks for it,why they stick at it is beyond me,but only for them there wouldn't be a league.some people out there know who i'm talking about but i won't say any names,i've nothing but admiration for them cos they never stop working for the league.i'll put it on record now i'm prepared to go on the committee next year if someone will nominate me at the agm but other people need to come forward as well other wise they give up the right to moan about it.is there anyone else prepared to come forward to go on the commitee,i'll nominate them.

i guess the person your on about is female only person i have seen do anything over the past few years is xxxx xxxxx. what needs to be done is forms sent to every team asking for nomanations to go on the comm . Then at the agm you call out those names male or female and have a vote .If no one puts there names down so be it but im sure you will get a few interested .

i played in the gorey league on a mon nite they work there league out over legs won. top two teams meet in the final . ALL there finals are played on the one day makes for a great day out mens singles womens singles mens and womens doubles mon league tues league wed league . they charge in on the day and you get chicken and chips for your entrance fee .Could hold something like that in the noggin inn on a sun afternoon .Because the singles and doubles are losing there appeal now and going on til all hours doesnt help .
