MPV: Fix dents/scratches before selling or just drop the price?

    Hi, the question is in the title I guess. I'm just wondering what's the recommended approach - especially with an MPV?

    Everybody's MPV has car-park scratches and dents. For mine, I would like to touch up the car to make it more presentable, but I don't want to be deceiving any buyers about the car's state/history.

    I guess the easiest thing would be to get a few quotes from bodyshops, and maybe advertise the car as it is, warts and all?

    Just wondering what's best practice and what would you do to maximise the chance of making a sale?

    The other factor I guess is the relative value of the car. It's an '02 1.9 Turbo Diesel MPV.

    How bad are the scratches?

    On a 7 year old car it might not be worth spending the money on a bodyshop to fix it up. If it were say an 07 it would be but if there is nothing very bad I'd say leave it. Marks are expected on older cars
