Lads, Ive lost my cap from filling up on the oil i presume I didnt fit it back correctly :(

Ive tried everywhere to get one and no where seems to do it. I rang 2 dealers renault in liffey valley and blanch and both say to get replacement they need chassis number???? wtf? I know they are going to rip me but they are saying that each oil cap is different??

Anyway wondering if someone who knows more than me could help me a) locate one and b) tell me renault are talking sh1te.

edit apparently there were a lot of models in that era and they need to be precise which is why they were looking for this....

well its 2000 1.4 sport model if its any use

    Cheers

Just give renault your chassis number, they prob need it to get the engine code so they can supply the correct cap.

No big deal really, most main dealers will need a chassis number or engine code, easier for them to order and less chance of them getting in the wrong part.

Best get the chassis number and get it from a main dealer, an incorrect fitting cap is as bad as non at all.
