Whether he works for X-Music or not, calling someone an idiot is not allowed. Take 2 weeks off.

An X-Music employee wouldn't imply that the staff abandoned their St Patrick's Day special offer so they could go to the pub.

He suggested that Irish Musicians went to the pub on Paddy's day..not the staff. A bit fishy when a new guy with 4 posts is raving about one particular shop. Maybe when members have a few hundred posts, then start talking up about a particular shop.

It's too easy for an employee or even owner to setup an account here and then talk about their shop. It this stage, it's annoying, and even having a negative affect. Although, it's hard to prove these things.

OK-Cancel-Apply and darrenw5094, if you see a post that you believe is a shop owner/employer, use the report function. Do not discuss it on the thread. Doing so is in breach of the Charter and will result in removal of your access to this forum

    I didn't - I suggested that it wasn't an employee.

im going to give X music a thumbs up in this post , and im a cynical old hack.
i know the drums guys well, so this is regarding the other areas.

i was there yesterday for a cancelled music production demo cos the gear got wrecked on the flight over -

so i started talking to paul lyttle the sales manager ( i who i did know a good few years a go ) , and after talking about my intrest in piano he gave me a very good piano lesson off the bat - hes a great player and i learned alot .

i then checked out the price of an orange tiny terror combo , which had heard and was interested in buying ( online ) with the guitar rep Conor .

i decided to trade a bass for this today , went in , got a great trade deal and a great sounding amp - and i will be back - i got good service there

i think they are really trying and i would be one to not have given a music shop in ireland an inch .

keep it up X music .

I thought the whole freakin' idea of blogs was that you should voice you're opinion on what's good and what's crap regarding whatever issue is being discussed.

I couldn't give a **** who or what you think I am - I don't live here but I do work in the industry as a musician, use whoever you want in Ireland - the last post had same opinion as me ! you get what you deserve

I'm outta here for a couple of months, check in when I can

I think you'll find that the complaints about X Music was that they were not opening when they said they would be, or closing the shop without giving adequate notice. And also the website not coming online quick enough.

    These complaints are valid.

I think there's very few (if any) posts complaining about the service they received from the staff. I've received fantastic service when I went up to the shop.

Also, I don't think this place is a blog, but I may be wrong on that.

If you're looking for a blog then you're in the wrong place. Maybe somewhere like wordpress.com or blogger.com would be better for you.
You could rant there and say whatever you want... and we wouldn't have to read it.

    Hiya guys.

Don't think he's one of our lads or lassies. But then I'm not gonna go through everyone's email to check for a reply from boards.

But I'd like to hope that no XMusic employee would try and shill anyone here, especially since the cringeworthy attempts from other Music shops we've seen in the past here.

    Cheers

    Mick

People setting up accounts for that reason is a pain in the backside.

But if you do work or own the shop in question, you could help us out by talking about the opening hours and closing hours to clarify everything from this thread.
