Just wondering if anyone has had any experience/feedback on the Merlin car swap scheme at their auctions?

Have bought there before at great prices (obviously they won't be taking in cars at great prices!), seems to be a good idea in a slow market, especially as it allows people to trade down as well

I had a look at it there. Seems like a good idea. Im surprised to read that they actually take in your car and allow you to proceed wit the swap without your car being sold. I guess that pretty much ensures that the valuation they give to your car must be very poor if they are prepared to do that. It must be lower than average auction price.
I say overall it would make more sense to stick your car in for auction and then buy another at the auction.
