    Hi folks,

Quick question; Is Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate) only available on prescription or is it over the counter?

    Thanks in advance.

Prescription only (despite what Gerry Ryan says!)

    Seriously, don't be an idiot.

I don't know exactly how it works in Ireland but in the UK you can't get Tamiflu on an NHS prescription if you're not "at risk" (i.e. elderly or have certain illnesses) and otherwise healthy. You can still get it on private prescription, however, which I guess is essentially how it works in Ireland anyway. So €50/€60 for GP visit plus about €30 (guessing) for the medicine.

Cahill also pointed out that in the last swine flu outbreak in the U.S in 1976, more people died from taking the vaccination for the flu than the flu itself.

ordering drugs over the internet is illegal and very unwise.
