Opening RAW files in cs4

    tried using RAW format for the first time today.

    Image type saved in .crw
    camera canon Powershot A700

    When i try and open the raw file in photoshop i get

    "cannot complete your request because its not the correct type of file"

    I have updated the camera raw plugin but made no difference.

    Any ideas?



    Edit: ok, i found the adobe page which lists all the supported cameras and mine is not listed.

    I got the raw format working with the CHDK firmware.

    Is there anyway i can get photoshop to open these raw files?

    ok managed to fix it.
    seen as the A700 is not supported for the standard raw format but it is supported for the .dng format and it now opens in photoshop.

    typical i work out the problem a few minutes after posting.
