At this minute life seems so difficult...
I know why but I just can't seem to deal with the issues that re-surfaced and the issues that I'm now facing. I've been to a councellor, there was one day where I said stuff but since then I just can't come out with anything that I want to, I can't even write anything down because I'm so numb...I've been on anti-depressants for a while now but even that dosen't seem to be helping... I feel now as if my college work is really suffering and I have approached people in regard to this but even this makes me feel as if what am I doing in college if I can't keep up?? I don't know anymore...
I was considering going back to my GP again soon but I don't want to be hassling her.. Councelling or the anti-depressants don't seem to be helping so I don't know what to do?
Does anyone have any advice or have been in a similar situation...
    Hope to hear from you's..

Go back to your GP, you are not 'hassling' her.

Keep with counseling. If you feel it's not going anywhere, then find a new counselor. Finding a good counselor - or just one you click with - does not always happen on the first try. Feel free to check out another, who might be better suited to your particular issues.

    +1
That's what doctors are for - you're meant to go back if somethings not right / not working for you.

Counsellors even say themselves that if you feel you've not connected with them, that another person might suit you better. Because not every counsellor will connect with every patient.

I would go back to your GP, and I would try another counsellor -you need to do what's best for you right now.

Ditto with the antidepressants - there are lots of different ones, and it's quite common to try a few before you find one that works for you.

    Go back to your doctor.

With regard to your college work, talk to your tutors (or the College Counsellor if there is one) and you should be able to defer some or all of the year based on the issues you've had (would require a medical cert and/or letter from counsellor to support your application). No college will reject a deferral application if it's supported by medical certification.

But go back to your doctor first.

You see my problem is I was there less than two weeks ago for a kind of review..I didn't realise I was going to be put on anti depressants more long term like another three months at least then pending another review will she make a decision...I thought it was just to help for 3/4 weeks??? I guess I'm not happy with this action am I'm now more than ever relucatant to take these tabs because it's not just for a couple weeks, its months!!
I don't want to be walking 'in and out' all the time because I've seen a fair bit of her recently and I can't come out with what I truly feel so whats the point!
Over the weekend I've come to question so much about myself, my ability and what I'm doing here...I'm so lost and confused..As regards college I've no choice but to pass my exams or I'm out because I couldn't financially afford to pay fees ect. I have talked to course tutor and she said I could defer some exams until August but I don't feel it's going to make any difference....
