    Hi,

Just have a quick question and want to see what people's opinions are. Would a person who fits marble countertops in kitchens in both construction sites and in private homes, but mostly in private homes--> would they fall under the construction REA.

The stone comes in from europe and is 90% finished. There are guys in the workshop that cut it to a specified size and then there are lads who go to the houses and install the countertop- basically mixing glue and sticking it on. The kitchen has already been installed bya kitchen fitter.

I would have said that this wouldn't be included under the REA but someone is now claiming that it is and is looking for REA rates and backdated pension etc. I need something concrete for this if anyone has any info. Legislation isn't very clear and I have rang NERA 5 times and have gotten 3 people saying no and 2 saying yes!!! It's crazy!

    Any advice is appreciated,

    Thanks
