I'm sorry to inform those of you who are not watching the news, that Joan was stabbed to death.

This thread is for condolences and respects to be paid. The manner of her death is not relevant to that and should not dillute or sully that.

Anything other then respectful condolences will be deleted.

This is an on going case and as such should not be discussed or "mused upon" on this site. That is prejudicial to the case and contempt of court.

Please, lets keep this about our community paying its respects to a much liked player and leave the rest to the tabloids.

    Tom.

Genuinely sad and shocked to hear this, really bubbly character at the table, always quick to stop those trying to give out or intimidate new players to the table, and really welcoming.
    RIP

She was a regular on the Dublin poker scene when I played every week. She was witty, welcoming, and a good player.

Appalled to hear what happened, don't think anyone can believe it.

Joan was a lovely woman, good poker player and plenty more I'm sure.
Will be missed by all poker players in Dublin, Fitz staff and all who knew her.
