    Hi all...my first post...
I'm looking for someone to work on my dads 1984 Mercedes 230CE.
    Some background info...
Car is a low-mileage silver example, dad took it in from the UK many years ago and its his pride and joy. Unfortunately about 6 months ago, it needed a new cylinder head, which I eventually found for him. Unfortunately the garage/cowboys who fitted the head did a very bad job. The car doesn't idle right at all, and while it runs OK, its very difficult to start and to pull away with in 1st gear. The exhaust is also blowing out somewhere.
Nowhere I've tried will look at it, seems if there isn't an ECU to plug into, no-one wants to know!

So, does anyone know of someone they could recommend to work on a 230CE W123? We're in Monaghan, but I'm willing to travel to get the work done, as I really want dad to get his car 'right' again. I just need someone who knows what they're doing, no just chancing it!

    Thanks in advance.
    FP

I would use Benjamin too but he's a bit far now.

Has anybody used German Automotive on the North Strand for classics?

Any other suggestions on the North/West?

    Thanks guys..
Lichtenburg classics is a bit far alright, but for my dad, I'd organise it if needs be! Will give him a ring.

There's a Ted Brennan about 1/2mile from my folks place in Monaghan...he does bodywork restoration on Mercedes, but again, isn't into tuning etc. I presume thats the Ted Brennan you're thinking of, or is there one in Navan too?

    ...................I'd say thats they guy.

There is also Tom Heaney up in Swatragh, which is still quite a journey but nearer than the others. He will definitely be able to sort it for you.
