    Hey
I've an old Stephen Roche frame myself similar colour scheme too (red yellow and bare titanium)
i tried finding out about the bikes when i bought mine around 3 years ago and couldn't find much info.
the best i came up with is this
    http://web.archive.org/web/19990422172732/www.sroche.com/bikes/special.htm

Mine is a titanium frame and from what i can gather from the archive website is a frame from in or around 97.
Not sure who Roche gets to actually build the frames though. I think he still sells his branded bikes or did
until very recently anyway all carbon fibre now though
    see

    cheers
    E

my recollection is that these frames didn't do so well. They either had a tendency to crack or had way too much flex in them.

If it's 12 years old, then I think the cracking isn't going to be a problem at this stage!

i have a later model it's aluminium and carbon mix, with Carve forks ....
I think I bought it in 2003-4, and got about 3 seasons out of it .... i have not converted it to a TT bike, I really liked the geometry of the frame ! but it's not the same as the 87th edition, I know another guy who raced that one and cracked it .....
