I haven't an aerial installed yet so am unable to try. So before I go buy an aerial I want to make sure that the 7010ix will receive the mpeg4 dvb-t channels. Or is the 7010ix mpeg2 dvb-t only?

    Thanks.

I have the card but am not using it yet. Its in the thought process though, apart from a test for satellite I have not done much else.

Perhaps worth asking in the Terrestrial Forum ?

Cheers Eddie. I searched there and someone had a problem getting the card working with dvb-t and never said if they ever got it working in the end.

I can't see why it would not work tbh. I assume its the codec thats needed rather than the card not handling mpeg4. I've gone back to Vista with TVPack after some issues with Win7 so I'll need to get the hacked dll and drop it into Vista to get it working for mpeg4 dvb-t Ireland and dvb-s HD channels.

The big problem is getting the time to put up an aerial!

I hear ya. I would aslo like to add an Octo LNB to my dish, along with an aerial in the attic, so I could run a dual Sky / HTPC Pinnacle set-up for a while to see how good everything runs.

But time, and reduced budget are slowing me down..............:(

I can't help but I can confirm it works for analogue - I'm not in an area that receives digital.
If you can wait til digital is nation wide, I'll let you know then:D

I've the cable ran to outside already, so its just a matter of getting an aerial and connecting it. I suppose in the long run it will be handy to have one anyway so I might just go ahead and get one. The mrs didn't mind when I mentioned it so thats good enough for me. ;)

I have the 3010x working fine with DVB-T using Corecodec and DVBviewer. I would assume it uses the same components as the 7010x.

Nice one. I'll be using Windows Media Center and its mp4 codec but at least the card should work fine.

    Cheers
