Oh my, I hope it doesn't happen in Maynooth, somewhere has to remain open so I can feed my sugar addiction...

Has anybody noticed that tesco are cutting there 24 hour opening hours back to 7am to 12pm?

Having stores open at night is costless to Tesco's , they use a JIT stocking system so need smaller stockrooms and stock comes straight in off a truck onto shelves at night time.

Started a long time ago tbh. The one is Manor street must have stopped 24hr ops about a year ago.

I cannot stand all these puns. It really makes reading a thread tiresome.

Maybe you refferring to the thread of a tyre?

This is wheely tyresome now, we should get a grip and let TequilaMockingBird enjoy the thread, we only rubber up the wrong way.

I'd put you on Ignore, but there's no point, a load of others start it too. No offense meant, but it really bugs me. Once in a while is okay, but when you have to scroll through a couple of pages of it, its boring. IMO.

    Tesco...? Anyone?

In fairness it is only once in a while that we let a thread descend into non-stop punnery. There was a stage when it seemed to happen every second thread but I think it's very rare now.

Was that the one in the Marshes shopping centre, didn't think that was open after 9 or 10pm, at least it wasn't the last time I checked.

Marshes has Dunnes and was never 24h.
DSC tesco was 24h for a while, but they went back to 10pm closing at some stage early last year.
The one in the long walk barely opens past 7pm.

Although it was handy whilst it lasted, I'd have to question the value of having 24h shopping outside of larger cities. With the way things are going in Dundalk now, we'll be lucky if there'sany supermarkets opening during the day let alone at night...

Maybe you could put something in the title i.e "This thread has 3 posts about the subject and 42 puns". Something to warn me (and I appear to be alone here) to not to bother reading it.

I am aware that I too, am adding nothing to this thread at the moment.
