What are the best sites to search for musicians?

    Hey,
    I`m new to this searching for band members stuff. Boards looks good and glad I joined :) A pal told me about Gumtree and to try Hot Press as well. Are they any good?

    Someone told me that Buy & Sell is more for covers bands. Is that true? And he said the best site to find a drummer is www.drummingireland.com.

    Anyone know of any other sites? Pity there isnt one site where every musician goes to...

    You`ve mentioned most of the usual suspects there - boards, gumtree, hot press, buy and sell. The only other ones I know are gaire.com, bands4u.ie, dublin.ie, and anygig.ie. But I think the ones you mention get the most visitor hits so good luck in your search!

    Thanx a heap Songhound and Des Claypool !! That one thumped.com is a good music site ok but not really for searching for musicians? Heard of one today called newbandmember.com so I`ll check it out
