I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and want to do a bit of C++ opengl stuff,

    wondering what libraries I need...etc

FYI I have the build essentials.

The easiest way would be to get libsdl and use that for windowing. You *should* have all the OpenGL libraries already but I guess look for things relating to OpenGL in the Ubuntu package manager thingy who's name I've forgotten.
