Why would that be sad? I'd say most would be pretty happy with such a sizable collection.

    Sad for me
have to pick them up from the boys rooms and put them back in the shelves and then when he wants a new film not on sale here we send to america through an on-line shop to buy them , very costly but as he does not go out i think you would call this his hobby and forgot to mention the couple of hundred divx discs he has

Or to put it another way.

Who was stupid enough to think HD-DVD would beat Blu-ray in the format wars?

have basic instinct on betamax - though it gets a bit fuzzy from rewinding and slow-playing at certain points

Always wonder about people with 3000+ DVDs. Not so much that they have that many but more where they found the actual time to watch them all?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,111 ✭✭✭MooseJam

yeah DVD's I never stop buying these, last count I had circa 17,000, they take up 5 full rooms of my house, it's all neat though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,898 ✭✭✭✭seanybiker

roughly 400. Half of them are loaned out and i dont imagine ill see them again.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,111 ✭✭✭MooseJam

Don't know why anyone buys them to be honest - they're free on the interwebs

I don't know why people lend them to others. they never find their way back! i'm still missing a season of Stargate, Cube, Inside i'm dancing, Band of brothers, a season of CSI Miami, Universal soldier, two seasons of Battlestar Galactica and others, just through people borrowng...Agh!

Friend of mine has approx 600 single titles, and the rest would make it up to 850+

Gave most of my collection of 600+ videos to various charities. That was a waste of money for sure.
Have around 150 DVDS , but i'am taking it slow and easy this time round.

Ah depends are we talking originals , not so originals ;), or that dreaded illegal downloading of movies, "Down with that sort of thing".

If so,Last count (about a year back) had 500+ dvd's, bought many since and alot off blue-ray's also. not so originals 200+ and if i was to download illegal material i reckon i would download somewhere in the region of 300+ but i don't..booo!!

OP here, no, not talking downloads, just disks (or is that discs?) anyway, DVD, Blu-ray, HD-DVD when they were out.

    I've about 230 movies and 127 TV box-sets

DVDs are for fools who want to waste money lining the pockets of fat american whore masters. I just rip whatever from the net and proud of it.

If the top of the list is anything to go by ("Incredible Hulk", "Hills Have Eyes 2" and "Two and a Half Men Season 3" among others) then clearly yours and most normal peoples definitions of 'picky' are two very different things.
