Old Epson Stylus 3000 Printer Advice Please

I've an old, but almost unused Epson Stylus 3000 that has been overhauled after lying unused for years. They were first made about 2000. With the high cost of ink, I'm wondering if anyone can advise if it is worth investing further in this printer, or should I sell it and update myself?

It is this one:

I would prefer to focus on black and white, and I think there are high capacity ink systems that replace all the colour cartridges with black.

If anyone has any experience of this printer and black and white photography, your advice would be appreciated.

it uses the older ink system which to tell you the truth is not great for B&W really

if i was you i would get rid and get one that uses K3 inks

I see from Lyson that they do various ink options for the Epson Stylus 3000.

I havent used lyson inks

I only used genuine epson inks

I know these printers were popular among draughtsmen etc., but has anyone here used them for photography? Can anyone advise re black and white printing on the Epson Stylus 3000?
