Opel Corsa (1999) Engine oil type?

Hi, My friend has an opel corsa and wants to top up the oil. Unfortunately the owners manual has gone missing so we don't know what type of engine oil to use. Anyone have any ideas? Found something on google saying 5W30... Thanks

Go to www.castrol.co.uk and it will tell you, I think 5w30 is probably what it will recommend.

I am assuming it is a Corsa B - 1.0 Ecotec - a good quality 10W/40 A3 oil is what you need then. These engines were not designed for an A1 oil AFAIK
