Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    How about this folks? It’s like the counting thread(s) but a bit more interesting. You count up in ones but add a little factoid about the number. 1948 was the year in which the state of Israel was founded. 27 is the number of countries in the European Union. 101 is the smallest three digit prime number. 5 is the number of points in rugby for an unconverted try.

    It’ll get harder the further up we go.....!

    I’ll do the first few:

    1 = number of colours in the Libyan flag
    2 = number of popes called John Paul
    3 = the atomic number of Lithium
    4 = number of provinces in Ireland
    5 = the number denoting a fresh breeze on the Beaufort scale
    6 = number of wives Henry VIII had
    7 = number of grooves on a 20c coin
    8 = the number of days after his birth when a Jewish boy is circumcised
    9 = number of countries bordering Germany
