We're very close to putting down a deposit on a house there... very nice gaffs indeed :)

Just wondering about the whole TV and internet thing, though. They make a selling point out of the fact that all the rooms in all the houses have a Sky Digital TV point installed. Which is fine as far as it goes, but personally I prefer NTL's channel line-up (and prices). Is NTL digital TV available on the estate? If so, can/do they just hijack Sky's cabling, or is it not quite that simple...?

Also, all the main rooms in the house seem to have ethernet ports, which is potentially very handy, but the estate agent we spoke to didn't really seem to know how/why. Is there some deal where one ISP is providing broadband to the whole estate? Or is it just a convenience so that people don't have to run their own cabling round the house once they've got broadband? Or are they not really ethernet ports at all? :)

You have the option of Ice Broadband in ashbourne. No phoneline needed, they stick an aerial on your chimney. Not the fastest, but does the job.
