PCMCIA Firewire card

Morn, anyone know where I can get a firewire card for a laptop, I've recently upgraded to second hand IBM T43 laptop and its dosen't have a firewire port.

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop that has 1 firewire port. It wouldn't recognise my camcorder however & I then discovered this to be a common problem. I picked up a cheap PCMCIA firewire card on ebay, was disappointed when it came as it looked like it was getting a bit rusty, and then it wouldn't fit the Dell slot, but it slotted into my HP work laptop fine & worked like a dream!
So I'm not sure will these cards fit all laptops but should be possible for you to find out.
