Remember the sound the PC used make when dialling up to the internet? Ah thems were the days.
Other than that the sweet tones of Jimmy Page's guitar, the sound of a cork popping and the sound of the 3rd rizla escaping from the packet.

Babies laughing, church bells, hundreds of football fans chanting together, fire engines, the first time the drum gets smacked at a concert.

I hate the sound of babies laughing.
They only ever laugh at the misfortune of others for a start. Or when they are ****ting.

The sound of the old diesel trains... the orange ones.

Sounded great in Pearse Street station, real powerful low base sort of a rumble.

The sound of a World War 1 fighter plane.

Resting your head on nice linen pillows in a new faraway city listening to the drone of jet aircraft the faraway distance is a sound I will cherish and reminds of the first night I ever spent in New York City.

Listening to the squeal of of a Rat dying whilst caught in a trap is also very satisfying.

love the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks...anything with water listening to the sea or as another poster said the noise of rain outside when your all warm and snug inside looking out..

also the sound of any alcohol in any glass is cool....

also the sound of peace and quiet can be cool too.....can work in a loud and busy environment so peace and quiet sounds heaven

My oh bought me this eye mask thing that plays sounds in your ears. There's a choice of a babbling brook(-makes me want to pee), birds tweeting(-brings me nasty memories of sitting up all night cramming for exams, when the fcukin' birds started, that was it..i'd not be able to concentrate) Rain falling and the sea(my favourite). Grand little invention, only thing is, it's barely reaches around my head....and my head is a standard size not a Brian Cowen enormous one:(.

The comforting "Ploop" of your morning coil slipping out of the chamber and dropping gracefully into the bowl.

Sets one up for the day I feel.:P

Stove top coffee pot coming to a boil.

Subtle repeating 'badumph' sound through the speakers when you get to the end of a vinyl.

Always loved the sizzle of tobacco and skins flaring when a naked flame is introduced.
The sound of a guitar hero guitar clicking.
    Rotary engines being reved.

The sound of a CD player opening or anything with a clicky percussion sound, like a pen off a bunch of plastic cherries....
