    Hi,

I just bought this camera and think it's great. In the future i would like to be able to shoot food and other kitchen shots.

I plan to have a small tripod that sits on the kitchen counter so the camera can point down and shoot the cooker, plates, etc.

Could someone recommend me a tripod from the results here ? http://www.toppreise.ch/index.php?search=tripod&sRes=OK

I dont really want to spend more than 100 CHF

Also, would it be a good idea to get a light to help with the shot quality ? or should i wait until i move up to an SLR ?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think what you propose will work.

A small tripod will mean you will end up taking photos of the tripods legs.

I think what you want is a Benbo 2 or the equivalent Uniloc equivalent. The legs would be on the floor while the central column would be canted and extended over the counter top to shoot down. Something like this:

(That is a Benbo trecker, smaller and lighter than the 2.)
