I have some young friends coming over from Oz on hols this summer and they've asked me if they would be able to rent a car in Ireland? What's the minimum age for car rental in Ireland? - this chap is 20 yrs old. I managed to find one site stating that you have to be at least 25 but other sites are not that clear. Anyone…

afaik ya have to be 23 to get covered by the hirers insurance

I'm not sure, but I think Enterprise may entertain 21 year olds. AFAIK, with most car rental agencies, you must have held a full license for two years.
