    Hi,

has anyone here had a back wheel made for a fixie/singlespeed? im starting out on a fixie conversion using an old raleigh frame and im thinking of getting a wheel made for it. i hear joe daly will make one for around €95, is that as cheap as ill get? i live about 5 mins away from his shop so would be very handy also. was thinking of taking the bike down to him to have a look.

alternatively i could buy a stock wheel online/have one made in england, etc? has anyone done this?

looking forward to getting going on this. iv been looking through old threads and seen some very good ideas in other people projects. i know some people are gonna say 'just go fixie', but my mind is set on a flip flop hub as i like to have the option there to change from freewheel to fixed when i want.

oh and finally, i dont want a track wheel, ie one with no breaking surface, this bike will defo have breaks, no way am i going to cycle through town breakless.

    cheers
