UCD wired network

Can somebody tell me the advantages of connecting a laptop to the UCD wired network? What more does it offer over a wireless connection?

Faster and more Reliable, as at times, UCD wireless is slow at times, and the connection drops, **especially in Res this year.

Not sure of any other benefits

I know :( The wireless connection drops every 60 mins, and some days its worse
