What you are talking about afaik is not uncommon, i know plenty of what would from the outside would appear to be very mismatched couples.

She obviously sees alot more to you than you do. So I would count your blessings and continue to do whatever it is you do that keeps this lovely lady in your life.

Its not unheard of to see unmatched in the looks department couples. Remember seeing one stunner arriving in the pub with, and then proceeding to eat the face off a scruffy ginger. However it is reasonably rare.

Much more likely scenario is as someone else posted, a 'standards' issue. I remember a guy telling us about his stunner of a girlfriend. He was badgered to post pics. We were all prepared to disbelieve him and slag him for posting a pic of a model he found on some website. No....he posted a picture of his real girlfriend alright. She was an absolute munter and he thought she was stunning. Of course when we eventually saw pics of him we realised she was a stunner compared to him

Self deception at its best. Now don't get me wrong, I know looks can be subjective but I think they are subjective in the middle of the bell curve of looks. ie. average people can be subjectively gorgeous to some and rather plain and well average to others. However at the extreme ends of the curve things are much less subjective. 99% of people will agree that so and so is gorgeous or so and so is ugly. The guy in my example had to know his GF was a munter, he could only be deceiving himself.

The final proof is that I have met a lot of Vets in my pet owning years. Never once seen a female vet that wasn't a munter
