€29.99 in Game as Smyths were also selling it at €29 and they were forced to match prices.

Damn and I bought it off play to get it cheaper than high street, turns out it was the same price! and I could have been playing it right now instead of waiting for play....

Saw it for E39.99 in HMV yesterday. Luckily I picked it up for 29.99 in Game.

Am not that mad about it. My laptop is just good enough to run it so it has a tendancy to crawl. It does look lovely, cranked up the graphics just to see them before going to 'low' settings to actually play it. Don't mind as was prepared for it not to run at lall.

Have only played the campaign so far. But I miss the base building aspect of it. At least CoH had some element of base building. To me this is not as RTS, it is a tactical squad game. You not longer have an 'arm' you have a platoon. I miss the old DoW with 2 'armies' converging on the enemy from the sides and seeing him panic!. Can someone think of a better description than Tactical Sqaud game?

€30 in Game is great value for a new release.
One question: does the retail version require Steam or is that only the version you get from Steam itself?

That's great. I'm one of those odd people who actually likes Steam. Doesn't Windows Live handle the multiplayer though?

Yes, GFWL does the matchmaking part.
