Is your sky+ box noisy???

    Lately I've noticed that my sky+ box has become quite noisy. there is always a humming noise coming from it and its rather annoying. I have tried turning it off and plugging it out but it doesnt fix the problem. Anyone got similiar problems?

    Does it still record and playback OK?

    It could be a fan on the way out.

    yeah, still recording and playing back. its only 3 months old.

    There has alway been a high freq hum coming from my Sky+ box. Sounds like hard disk (I think).
    I only realise how loud the noise is when I plug out the box and the room completely silent.

    Is this the case with all sky+ boxes so? The noise can be very annoying when watching TV.
