Ha! I find it funny when the English don't get it, when we say that we're going out for 'messages'

Whilst in the States, shop assistants used to look at us funny when we say something is 'dear'

Their eyes pop though, when we say we're going out for some 'fags' lol!!

My dad calls pretty much every thing technological (phone, remote control etc.) a buzzwhacker. I don't know how the hell he picked it up but it's bloody frustrating when he asks you to give him his buzzwhacker. He could be asking for anything in the house.

But you said "Everybody" uses 1's and 2's, not "everybody will use 1's and 2's".

Therefore you are incorrect my friend.

    roundybouts - from my mother.
I say thanks to inanimate objects - like ticket machines etc etc.
press & bold, both very irish words - the english and americans look at us as if we are mad when we use them.
I have lot of strange uses of english: same as he ever was, a sad fate of a stairs, do you standunder me.

ok most definitely went of on a tangeant there somewhere :p:p
probably loads more, but can't think of them.

My family calls the remote control the 'moken control' because my brother used to call it that when he was younger. Or the 'moky' for short.

Chewing gum is 'twing gum' for the same reason.

this is a discussion forum, not a private chat room, you don't have to be asked to give an answer.......

he said "I don't" referring to using the saying 1's and 2's and, and you said, give it time, the point the zohan is making is that he will never use the phrase 1's and 2's.

Now do I need you to point that out to me ? The refereence was about me and many others irish people using the slang word 1's and 2's , in a joky way to shoes , nothing more nothing less .I am staying on topic

My ' give it time ' quote was in reply to him saying ' I dont ' .It was ment to be humourous ' .You and him trying to split hairs here methinks
