Induction hob vs Gas hob

hi all, we are planning on getting a 4 zone induction hob as we are putting it in the centre of the kitchen on the island. we were originally going with a gas hob but the induction looks nicer and seems to be faster\safer. what do people think? are induction hobs the way forward? any advice\opinions would be appreciated.

Hi,
I've got a Neff induction hob for around seven years now & had no problems, very fast, easy to clean & safe as it does'nt glow red like a regular hob, does need stainless steel base saucepans to work though!

I have a Bosch one, great piece of equipment and the speed of cooking on it is amazing.
