What's the most hideously gruesome thing you've ever seen?

I've just barfed my way through watching Billie Jo Spears AND Philomena Begley in spangly dresses singing a duet of "Blanket on the Ground" on the Late Late.

Two old dolls who were never very pretty to begin with but now both in their sixties at least singing a song about bonking on a blanket in the woods so their parents wouldn't catch them.

Top that for sick bucket!!!

I worked in Charing Cross Hospital in London for a summer as a porter.
One Saturday morning we were "punished" for being late by being put on waste disposal, i.e. throwing all the yellow sacks of waste into a skip for incineration.
One bag split open and there was an amputated leg riddled with gangrene in it. :eek:

I've been to autopsies when attending nursing school. Not sure what's worse, the sights or the smell.

i once went to a union conference a few years ago and the fella who shared a room with me stank. One night when I went to go to the jacks I saw his white y-fronts covered in skid marks. They were very old. They were so bad that I had to take a photo and prove to people what a dirty bastard I was staying with.

That is carved in my mind and will never go away :eek:

I was in town one day on the way home from school a few years ago. I was waiting to cross the road when I heard a man shouting to my left. He ran out in front of truck and he was run over. It was completely intentional, a suicidal act. It was the most gruesome thing I have ever seen. His head basically burst open, and his shoulder was torn in half. Dark brownish red blood was still pumping from his chest, and his dark red brain matter was scattered across the road, along with sharp white splinters of bone. People were screaming and it was terrible. I was pretty shocked.
