Best way to do audio slideshows?

This is something have been planning to do for a while..

What is the best way of doing it in terms of editing software?

I don't really want to spend any cash buying software to do it, not initially anyway. Recorded some audio at the game last night

Anyone have any advice?

Hmnnnnnn...... 2 options in the free category off the top of my head. A 'gift cd' created with Picassa (think it does sound as well as slideshow) and Windows Movie Maker - basic but easy to use.

Vista's DVD Maker (if you have Vista), ie. put music/video to pictures, very easy !
or.....something I've also used/tried in the past.

Do you mean something that you can run on a computer\tv or web based like the BBC ones?

Dunno enough about Flickr to say if you can do it either way but on your own website you'd probably want to do something in flash.

you're not using a Mac by any chance? Could do it (for free) in iPhoto or iDVD
