The security peeps fighting an onslaught of beach balls at CSS at Electric Picnic this year, much more entertaining than the band!

A support band from Louth, appropriately called The Gobshites or something, were annoying everyone with their antics. Singer decides to "crowd surf", also known as jumping onto the first row and being pushed back in front of the stage. The short bastard then couldn't manage to climb back on stage and had to get a boost from a security guard :D

james hetfield spitting on the ground, and then slipping in it, not quite falling, but looking pretty funny.

three middle aged men in blue jeans and polo necks in the seated area of iron maiden, standing up (everyone around them was sitting), just boogying away. was very very amused at that one, but i guess you had to see it.

drunk hippy dancing to a ska band, when nobody else was up dancing at all. he really really got into it, and was quite amusing. similarly, a german couple at pumpkins dancing, and you knew in their heads, it was this really elegant ballroom dance type thing, except in reality they were pished out of their minds and had no idea how to dance.

Similar to one someone mentioned earlier, and because this is all I can think of at 1am.

Queen+PR at the point a few years ago, and two teenagers turning around to say to their mates during Brian May's Guitar solo bit as he's standing under a disco ball with lights going everywhere (hehe):

    "It's a bit loud isn't it?!"

    Ah, that reminds me.

Remember hearing a fella at a My Bloody Valentine gig complain about how the sound was so bad he couldn't really hear the vocals.

Smashing Pumpkins in the SFX in 1995. This big dude got up on stage beside D'Arcy Wretzky. He went to do this big stage dive but the crowd parted and he landed face first on the floor.

House of Pain in Leisure Land in Galway in 1994/5. There was this guy in the crowd (serious biker dude with the leather waist coat, tatts, the whole rig out), boosting people up onto the crowd for crowd surfing. We all got a boost off him, but as the gig went on he got closer to the barrier. At the time my friends and i were only 17/18 and light enough. This guy boosted one of my friends up into the air and he cleared the crowd and the barrier and whacked himself off the front of the stage. I nealry pissed myself laughing, he went in slow motion through the air and you could see the guys expression changing as he realised he was in for a world of pain. He looked like fcuking ET taking off.

In 1999 i went to see Morrissey in the Black Box in Galway. Traditionally, the stage is always invaded at the end of Morrissey gigs and this one was no different. The bouncers didnt know how to deal with it, i was sitting down in the seats having a few pints and enjoying the mayhem that was unfolding. There was this girl who was rather big boned and had gotten up on the stage beside Morrissey. One of the bouncers grabbed her by the shirt and went to pull her off, all he managed to do was rip the top off her, and left her standing in the centre of the stage with her baps hanging out. Morrissey didnt know what the hell was going on. I nealy choked on my pint.

I saw Richard Hawley twice last year in Galway and his drummer always cracks me up when they play the song called 'Serious.' For some reason he looks like the happiest man alive when he's playing this song. Always brings a smile to my face...........

Saw the stage collapse forwards in the old Mandela hall at QUB belfast at a Neds Atomic Dustbin concert many years ago ! Was hilarious...thankfully no one got hurt ! They came on stage...all lept up in the air, maybe played a note or two and as they landed the stage gave way under them. Gig cancelled..played again a few months later.

    hahahahahahaha!!!!!:P

Chilis in Slane. Right up at the pit barrier, sun beating down. They were taking people that wanted from the crowd into the pit gap for water. One guys fakes fatigue, hops into the gap, takes a cup of water then hops the other side into the pit and runs. About 4 flourescent jackets came from different directions, not sure if he escaped! :D

was at a large open air concert in meath around august time 1998

the queues for beer were criminal.

the anguish at watching smug b*stards return with pints in each hand while you sweletered in the summer sun:

and then: one girl, who, by the state of here, had queued up one time too many, decided it would be a good idea to hop the fence from the queue side to the exit side.
so off she went, and with a bit of stuggle cleared the first mini barrier, only one to go before she was in the clear.
soon she was atop the second barrier, all eyes of the queues each side firmly trained on her as she was perched atop the fence, and then the wobble.

enter a smug bastard with two pints, hands full, up go the shouts from the queues, CATCH HER! CATCH HER!!
He stops, and quickly asseses the situation:
drunk girly about to faceplant off a fence vs two pints of beer that i've waited 30 mins for!!
his first instinct was to put the pints down, he crouched a little and looked at the ground deciding where to settle his drinks before attempting a resucue, and then stopped, turned to the crowd, shakes his head and says "f**k it, no" he walks past just as the girl falls to earth,, oohhhs and ahhhhs, followed by security guys,
it was classic. but maybe something you hadda be there for,

also there was a girl sitting on the grass with a short skirt and no knickers on. shamefull

Just remembered a guy queuing at Arcade Fire a few years back, who had a fully zipped hoody. Naturally, he zipped this hoody the full way up over his face... and then got it stuck in his hair. Everybody was too busy laughing at him to help, both his friends and the several hundred spectators. Took him a good ten minutes to get free.

I'll never forget the sight of him, flailing around like a blind, low-budget alien, everyone around him standing just out of reach...

Later on in the night when we were all lining up for the bussses back to the city, the line collapsed. About a 1000 peoplae mergeed into one heaving mass and the stewards couldnt do ****.
