HMV Buying Venues in UK

    HMV have started purchasing venues in the UK, so what I want to know is, should we be concerned in case this starts happening here.

    With the Ambassador being closed as a concert venue (it would seem) could it be reopened with the help of HMV?!!

    Is this positive, because it will bring more bands to Ireland who would usually ignore it, or is it negative because it will create problems

    I cant see it really being a bad thing unless they start dicking around consumers by upping prices. It will draw bigger bands to venues though im sure. Doubt the ambassador is going to be saved. IIRC its being turned into a libary.

    Isin't that library thing a rumour. Someone told me 5 years ago that it was being turned into a library.

    Yea the achademy is a great venue with great sound, if only a bit on the small side. The ambassador was always good craic though imo and the sound in there was always pretty decent imo.
