78.152.254.74 = RIPE Network Coordination Centre
195.25.76.250 = RIPE Network Coordination Centre
213.233.128.1 = RIPE Network Coordination Centre

    RIPE is another regional body...http://www.db.ripe.net/whois

    78.152.. and 213.233.128.1 are vodafone
195.25.76.250 is a france telecom ip

If you're confident you got them all then I wouldn't say there are any problems there.

Only other suggestion I have is to go back and do the hijackthis log again, but get wrapper going first as described in the post and do a rooter scan too.

Hey just to let you know I have had the exact same problem the last two days and both Malware Anti... and SuperAnti.... found nothing. I'm still looking for a solution but if find one I'll be sure to tell you

Sorry for the double post but I found a solution, I don't know how it works but it does

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090104094349AAkN8Jl
1.) Exit out of all programs
    2.)goto run enter
    C:\WINDOWS\system32
3.) then scroll to the bottom of the page and find wdmaud.sys just rename it to BAD_wdmaud.sys
    4.) Immediately reboot the system
    5.) Test the results

A 'browser helper' could do this kind of thing - any toolbars installed? Windows Updates up to date?

I just did a search on Google there for 'Google links hijacked' and found this - http://forums.techguy.org/web-email/448070-solved-google-links-hijacked.html.

Suggest you try it and let us know how you get on.

Anyone else who runs into this, apparently ComboFix has some success identifying and removing the wdmaud file.

    you shouldn't be recommending ComboFix
