Hi, hope this is om to ask here.
I cannot for the life of me think of that phrase or words that refer to the fact that God has a plan/pathway set out for us and no matter what we do or try to do we cannot change this path or plan. Along the lines of fate or destiny i suppose...
I need to incorporate it into essay but cant think!

I believe in free will, but it's a big subject.

Predestination goes against free will doesn't it?

No, but I'm still jetlagged after an overnight transatlantic flight, so I'm not up to writing a huge post on such a complex subject.

Here's a link to Xenos which explains the difference between the Calvinist and Wesleyan views on predestination: http://www.xenos.org/classes/principles/cpu1w6.htm

I would take the Wesleyan view.
