    i have had a boardsie see me in public, recognise me as a boardsie, take a photo of me, and send it to another boardsie, without ever letting on to me... im just glad the other boardsie they sent it to is someone i'd count as a good mate, and let me know the photo was taken.

    creepy.

    fortunately, im about 13,000 miles away from you lot now, so it's not so bad.

    I have seen a few boardsie's on the street but i would never approach them because i believe they are entitled to their anonymousity/privacy.

    But if you needed to know the time of day or directions you would approach them like you would approach anybody right ?

    ( In such circumstances wearing shades is an option ) :cool:

    Well, that will happen if you post your pic up a hundred times :p

    Could be worse Will, you could be recognised by a big lad with a last supper tattoo.

    Ever get recognised by strangers who know you're from boards?
    Has happened me every now and again, however in the last few days there's been 2 occasions. Always freaks me out.

    The 2 women refused to tell me their real or boards names which to say the least was really annoying.

    To the young woman with her boyfriend/mate on eden quay on tuesday around 11pm;

    I'm sure you are a lovely person but walking by, pointing at me and saying 'oh my gawd it's Will from boards'. Was pretty damn startled at some randomer recognising me. Being the quick witted guy I am I smartly replied with 'uhm yeah' then shy'd away. Thankfully you kept walking and I was left to deal with a very drunken man who was looking for a strip club.

    To the lady on Saturday night in the nightclub (last night);

    Again, very strange feeling knowing somebody recognises you from a website. However, thank you for being polite and friendly. But yes it would have been nicer if you told me who you were instead of leaving me puzzled while I tried to work. Yes it did and is still wrecking my head trying to figure out who you are, like you said it would. *shakes fist*

    Anyway, from now on, anytime i get recognised im just gonna flat out refuse and deny it (like i should have me thinks).

    If the two women who are reading this, would you mind at least saying so on thread here who you are?

    Anyone else get recognised? Sure there must be some funny stories

    Shouldn't post your pic on KYN. ;)

    Sorry for the headf*ck, btw.

    GarthV recognised me in a pub once, and there was a brief moment of "who the f*ck is this and how do they know me from boards?" before I remembered it was GarthV.

    I've only recognised one person from Boards before. I saw Monkeyfudge at a gig a few years ago. I've thankfully never been noticed before.

    I actually saw redhairedguy a few weeks ago in PC World in Galway. I thought about approaching him but I came to the conclusion that it might be weird. I mulled over it while staring to confirm to myself that it was him, which in retrospect was much more weird.

    redhairedguy, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for staring at you so intensely.

    *makes sure I have the correct thread this time :o*

    Nope never been recognised.
    If anyone ever does spot me please don't talk to me. I don't like people.

    Lol, I have also seen you Will! Though I didn't stare or point, it was in the Epicurean a few months ago.

    I thought I saw Terry in town once but as I approached he began to strip and I just wanted to be friends.

    in all fairness, if you put your pics up here, your going to get recognised. its not a big deal to be honest. ive had a look through alot of the pictures threads and can honestly say ive never seen anybody.

    More or less the same, to be honest its not like I'd have the balls to use that "you from the internet?" line anyway.

    On a site this size, its highly likely we've all walked past a few mini buses full of boardsies in our time.

    Boardsies on mini-buses? where were they going?

    incidentally no, i don't think i've ever been recognised! until....

    ...i read this! where do you think you saw me?

    on the topic as a whole, i understand your frustration will, i'd consider it plain ignorant for someone to point out that they know who you are and not introduce themselves. but it's part and parcel of the camera whore lifestyle. come on, high five!!

    if only i was pretty enough to warrant my behavior! :o
