    Hi,
    I wonder if there is someone there who might be able to enlighten me a bit regarding the above and their counterparts. Basically, I'm wondering what is the specific vunerability in a system that allows these pieces of crap to be installed on a users system. I gather that you usually have to click on a pop up originally to 'invite' it in but what is the vunerability that allows this to pop up in the first place. I read somewhere that it might be related to Java version 1.4(ish) but I have seen this on systems with the very latest java version installed and all other versions of java removed before hand. Is it just related to internet explorer? Will this occur in firefox, opera, chrome etc? I'm just a wee bit conflustered and loking for a bit of help here. Hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    yes you are right. These parasites are advertised through online pop-up windows or fake online anti-spyware scanners. Also it can be installed wit a use of trojans. So in general you have to look for such a trojans like Vundo or Zlob gain access into the system. Then your will find the answer to you question. If you need more information aboute viruses and spyware you can visit www.2-spyware.com, they have huge parasites database.
