I think Obama's pretty hot.

Plus, his personality would make him more attractive too. He seems like a genuinely nice and good person.

And he's a real family man. Loyal to his wife and kids.

I (unusually) disagree with you there Dragan. I'd have thought, in general, we can all identify who is good-looking even when we personally don't find them attractive. I don't find the Aero/Sex & the City guy attractive - still know he's good-looking, ditto Beckham.

I'd have thought it wasn't difficult to see that Obama is a handsome man. Maybe that's just me though.

Probably, apart from the odd person giving him the eye - but ditto David Beckham. If you're good-looking but not well known, you won't stand out that much.

I don't know, i think the same difference applies to good looking and to attractive. There are some women that are held up as being very "good looking", "sexy", "attractive" etc but i just don't see it in them at all.

I can understand how there are people who can look at anyone and think they are not good looking, no matter what the common consensus.

I don't know though. I don't necessarily think power is that attractive - arrogance can by a by-product. I wouldn't be surprised if some women who are attracted to powerful guys don't have much confidence and feel the need for a protector.

Why would kids want him to be there father? For most family members of American Presidents they go into it with the full understanding that should their loved one make it then they won't be seeing a huge amount of them for the term of their Presidency.

Why would they want a guy in a dead end job ?
No chance of promotion. And no matter how good he is he will be fired in a few years time. Oh sure he has someone to take over if there is a problem, but he isn't allowed to meet that person. And he gets paid less than someone in Ireland doing the same job would be.
