Using a wired router with UPC cable modem..

Want to set it up so can use vmware, anyone recommend a good wired router to use??Want to use private IP address...Was able to do so when with Eircom..Cheers , Thanks...

Also wondering will a skype phone (havent bought one yet) work with UPC cable modem...Any help is appreciated..

cant go wrong with a linksys router.
