Actors from other Sci-Fi shows

    Is there any reason that Stargate seemed to pool together actors and actresses from other big Sci-Fi shows? Especially towards the end of SG-1 we have the likes of Claudia Black and Ben Browder from Farscape, the doctor is from Andromeda, Adria is Inara from Firefly as well as a few more people that are in other shows. There as to be some reason for it.

    Because SG-1 is popular, and actors tend to like the kind of things they act in... so its kinda natural that an Actress like Jeri Ryan, or Actors like Robert Picardo, who both worked on Voyager, would also have an interest and be fans of Stargate.

    If you include guest appearances, you cover a huge bunch of cult shows (not too surprising with 300 episodes). Shows, off the top of my head, including Farscape, Firely, Star Trek: TNG, Star Trek: DS9, Enterprise, Star Trek: Voyager, Crusade, Battlestar: Galactica, Quantum Leap, Smallville, The X-Files ...

    Nope. That was Jolene Blalock - T'Pol from 'Enterprise'. My OH only watched the episode last week.
