Broadband - Galway/Roscommon boarder?

Hi Looking for broadband for new hosue on Galway/Roscommon boarder area - anyone any recommendations - needed for work so need to have reliable always on connection. Any advice appreciated.. Anyone used Brisknet ?

it must be all of 70 miles long , at least half the distance between galway and dublin anyway .

Airwire also covers a good chunk of that area, but you might be better off telling us, where precisely you want that connection.

About 4 miles from Ballinasloe town but not close enough for Eircom

That narrows it down a bit alright.

Presumably so you're either down Taughmaconnell direction or out around Pearses/Cuilleen/Attyrory direction. Not much available around Taughmaconnell as discussed in another thread (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055463520) although Lightnet claim to have coverage there but I've no idea where.

Last Mile (www.lastmile.ie) have decent enough coverage about as far as Togher (O'Connor Meats) and cover a good area out towards Attyrory. They broadcast from a mast on the roof of the enterprise center in Creagh. If you can see that from your house you should be ok. Both Newtown school and Attyrory school get their wireless broadband from them.
